Spotted this at the gym on Friday, a Land Rover Defender 110 Tdi. I’m not a Land Rover expert, but from what I can tell, this was not one of the ones made for the US market. Those were (originally) white, and had a V8 gasoline engine. This 110Tdi was probably from the years 1986 to 1990. But again, I’m not an expert. Can anyone here clarify or confirm any of this?

Also, my gym is becoming a great place for car spotting.

Anyway, here’sa few more pictures of this beautiful Defender.

Nice one. I’ll have to visit Florida. I live in northern Alberta though so it’s kind of far.

No, that is definitely not one of the NASpec Landies, the NASpec Landies got different front indicators and rear lights.

And early ones were all white (except one) and had a 3.9 V8 with manual gearbox and later ones getting a 4.0 V8 again with the manual gearbox.

The one you posted is certainly an earlier Defender to the NASpec and brought more up to date and exported stateside.

A very good solid Landie that’s been working the land this side of the pond many years.

I’d hazard a guess this one is from France or Italy. But there are several companies here in the U.K. Who will find LHD and RHD Landies and refurbish them for U.S. Export.

And the NASpec ones had an external roll cage. Why? Because we can’t have nice things.
